To shape policy, LGF collaborates with key education stakeholders and bodies in the country.

We collaborate with National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC), Teacher Education and Teacher Development (TETD), Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), District Education officials, among others.

We work with these bodies and other partners to shape policy for the transformation of the education sector. We use research to generate evidence and use the evidence to persuade key actors to address critical areas.  LGF is Uganda’s country hub for Regional Education Learning Initiative (RELI). RELI is a member-driven initiative of over 70 organisations in East Africa that are working to ensure inclusive learning outcomes for children in the region.

Under RELI, LGF is also Uganda’s lead for the Assessment of Life Skills and Values in East Africa (ALiVE) project. ALiVE is an ongoing three-year initiative of RELI’s Life Skills and Values regional thematic cluster that is generating evidence on life skills and values to use in engaging in public policy reforms and strengthening local capacities in life skills and values in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
