Implementation of teacher education curriculum in Uganda
The implementation of the teacher education curriculum in Uganda is vital for ensuring high-quality education, teacher competence, and professionalism. It allows adaptation to changing educational needs, contributing to national development and global competitiveness. A well-implemented curriculum is also essential for preparing students for the future and the country’s socio-economic progress. In 2020, we carried out an assessment regarding the performance of the teacher education curricula in Uganda. The study looked at the relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, impact and sustainability of the current Teacher Education curricula to inform the process of TE curriculum review.
