Dr George William Byaruhanga Pariyo, MBChB, PhD
Co-Founder
Dr George William Byaruhanga Pariyo, MBChB, PhD, boasts of 30 years’ experience as a physician, public health professional, researcher, educator and health systems expert. Currently, he is the Chief of Operations of Serum Africa Medical Research Institute (SAMRI).
Dr Pariyo has published over 130 scientific articles in indexed peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and several professional and technical reports which have contributed to health policy and practices globally. Before joining SAMRI, he worked as Senior Scientist/Research Professor in the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr Pariyo also served as Senior Manager and later as Senior Specialist for Outcomes and Impact at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance in Switzerland, Geneva).
Rose Busingye
Co-Founder
A nurse by profession, Ms Busingye founded Meeting Point International in June 2003 with the aim of offering HIV infected and vulnerable people a simple environment where each person can find love. Among her many achievements, she has been awarded the “Servitor Pacis” by the Holy See as well as the“Ford Family Notre Dame Award for International Development and Solidarity” at the University of Notre Dame in the United States of America.
Mr. Nsenga Emmanuel
Advisor
Emmanuel Nsenga is an Advocate of the High Court with vast experience in the East African legal services industry. He has extensive knowledge and experience in litigation, commercial law, labour law, business law training and arbitration. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree, a postgraduate diploma in legal practice and a Master of Laws (LLM) focused in Procedural Law & International Legal Practice from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM).
Assoc. Prof. Monica Fontana
Education Advisor
Monica Fontana Abad is an Associate Professor of Research Methods and Diagnosis in Education
with valuable experience in teacher education and social emotional learning. She has been
instrumental in advising LGF about research projects and education interventions in general,
especially in terms of planning, execution and Quality Assurance.
